Mieux are an electronic duo from Vienna. What started out as “A kind of fun/remix project” has now snowballed with the pair having just released their 3rd EP. ‘Are You Happy’ was premiered on Billboard a few weeks back.
A stand out track on the EP is ‘Rush‘, the record’s opener and The Playground‘s track of the day. Groaning basslines, complex steel drum patters, glimmers of synthy-vocals and the uncountable, sinewy layers demonstrate the alarming breadth of skills that are going on here. There’s certainly a reason Mieux have been labelled as two of Austria’s most forward thinking producers.
