German producer Marco Haas (aka T. Raumschmiere) will release his first record on Kompakt for 16 years, following the announcement of his new album, Heimat, which will drop on May 19th.
Heimat will be the eccentric techno wizard’s first release since a self-titled album in 2015. T.Raumschmiere, whose name derives from the German title of William Burroughs’s short story “The Dream Cops” (“Die Traumschmiere”), co-founded the long-running Shitkatapult in 1998, releasing a number of albums via the label, including The Great Rock N Roll Swindle (his 2002 greatest hits collection).
There is a lot of excitement building around the record, which Kompakt describes as “a stunning techno album that neither excludes ambient, nor gets reduced to constant ass-kicking…a stirring blend of early Kompakt vibes, schaffel throwbacks, updated sawtooth techno and lush ambient sounds for the ambitious dancefloor.”
