Maribou State has announced their Kingdoms In Colour Remixed album and released the dub-infused version of ‘Feel Good’ courtesy of Khruangbin. This release follows the success of their 2018 album Kingdoms In Colour which has been streamed over 40 million times to date, earning them a #25 spot on the UK album charts (and #4 on the UK Record Store chart) and BBC 6 Music’s ‘Album Of The Day’.
‘Feel Good (Khruangbin’s A Well Nice Version)’ is no-nonsense dub-psychedelia featuring accentuated percussion and bass augmented by watery reverb and echo. A melodic bassline drives the track as sounds wash over it with true dub dynamism. The Texan trio, Khruangbin, carve out a deep groove and fill it with a truly feel-good atmosphere.
Kingdoms In Colour Remixed has its release set for May 10 via Counter Records. It will feature new remixes from HAAi, Mano Le Tough, Skinny Pelembe, Juju & Jordash and Mount Liberation Unlimited, alongside previously released remixes from Maceo Plex, Adesse Versions and DJ Tennis.
Maribou State has also announced a huge North American tour, adding to a busy year for the duo which will see them playing live at Glastonbury again and at the Sydney Opera House in July.
