New Order’s Peter Hook has announced that he will be hosting an exhibition of hundreds of items and memorabilia from his time with the band, NME reports. Titled The Peter Hook Signature Collection – New Order, the exhibited items will also be auctioned for charity. All funds raised from the auction will be donated in support of the Epilepsy Society and The Christie charity.
Over 400 lots from the bassist are expected to be auctioned. The lots include items such as a collection of Hook’s guitars and the Prophet 5 Synthesiser and Sequencer which was used to record New Order’s acclaimed Blue Monday. A number of awards such as New Order’s 2005 NME Award and Hook’s 2006 Ivor Novello award are also under the hammer, along with a catalogue of rare vinyl, test pressings, tapes and CD’s.
This is the second time Hook has auctioned off items of personal memorabilia, after a similar auction took place in 2019 where Hook sold items from his time with Joy Division in support of the same charities.
The Peter Hook Signature Collection – New Order exhibition will open on October 4th and run until October 8th. The auction will happen on October 8th. The full catalogue is available here.
