Ben UFO is XOYO London’s next 13 week resident

An essential DJ not only in the current UK scene, but across the globe, Ben UFO is one of the few leading figures in electronic music to have risen to the peak without ever having dropped a production – testament to his skill as a selector and DJ.

His style and taste, shaped by the formative sounds of DMZ and Sub Dub nights, have influenced the future facing sounds coming out on his lauded record label Hessle Audio, co-run by Pearson Sound and Pangea. From garage to dubstep to grime to house to the most innovative techno around, Ben UFO and the label have been at the forefront of these seminal genres for more than a decade, constantly pushing them into new and unexplored directions. Since his eminent Hessle Audio show Rinse FM began in 2012, Ben UFO‘s influence has escalated to the point where he now headlines some of the most revered festivals and clubs across the world.

It is a genuine honour to welcome Ben UFO to the XOYO residency as he curates three months of some of the most boundary pushing parties the series has seen so far…

To open, he’ll go b2b with Joy Orbsion on Friday 6th April whilst NTS regulars Covco and Jon Rust holds down room 2 with the second date seeing him play a six hour set in the basement with UntilMyHeartStops founders and Freerotaion residents Leif and Joe Ellis upstairs – what a way to begin.

Other highlights come in the way of Errorsmith‘s anticipated live set on Friday 20th April as well as Kieran Hebden aka Four Tet alongside Kara Lis Coverdale on Friday 8th May. Ben UFO will also be playing in XOYO‘s intimate room 2 on the 1st and 22nd June – get down for those ones.
