Although this may come as a surprise to those who are still mourning the death of venues like Plastic People, Madame Jojo‘s and Denmark Street’s 12 Bar, Boris Johnson‘s latest endeavour involves saving London’s live music venues… apparently.
Ministry of Sound and Fabric, two of London’s most iconic music venues, have also both had to battle to stay open after having their licenses reviewed. However, the mayor of London is now working in conjunction with The Music Venues Taskforce to “Look at steps the city can take to protect and secure its vital network of live music venues.”
