Greek DJ and music producer Vangelis Kostoxenakis has just released a brand new EP titled ‘Take Your Shirt Off’, a three-track journey of hard-hitting house, summer synth sounds and rambunctious energy. Already enjoying great success for his music projects under monikers such as Phatjak, Angel Stoxx and Breaking Toys, Vangelis Kostoxenakis’ latest endeavour is under his birth name and continues to push this talented musician from strength to strength.
Although Kostoxenakis takes inspiration from the classic house genre, his tracks have a quirky analog synth edge to them that set him apart from the rest. The first track on the new EP from Dirtybird is a cheeky dancefloor-filler that blends quirky synth lines with with fresh andbe crisp drumbeats, a signature sound that continues across the whole EP, into second and third tracks ‘Bob Is Dead’ and ‘Play It Loud’, respectively. Each track is a unique banger that surprises and ignites; all danceable and all steeped in Kostoxenakis’ fun analogue sound.
