Enigmatic US vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Julia Holter has shared a track from her forthcoming new album Have You In My Wilderness, released on September 25th via Domino. ‘Betsy On The Roof’ typifies the sonic approach of the new album, which sets Holter’s vocal within ornate arrangements and richly textured instrumentation.
Known for her cerebral yet accessible approach to experimental pop, CalArts graduate Holter has received considerable acclaim for previous albums Tragedy (Leaving, 2011), Ekstasis (RVNG Intl, 2012) and Loud City Song (Domino, 2013). She has also collaborated with several artists including Matt ‘Ducktails’ Mondanile, Linda Perhacs, Laurel Halo and Nite Jewel.
Holter will tour the album in October, November and December. For more information visit her website
