Valentine’s Day – it’s one of those holidays that people either adore, or despise. It could be anything from the thought of a lovely candlelit romance with a significant other – the sadness that comes with the pressure society places on us to be in a relationship if we are single; or perhaps just the general apathy when it comes to examining a consumer orientated holiday forged by corporations as a clever marketing scheme to make money. Either way, whether you love or hate Valentine’s Day, we thought it would be fun to share with you some of our favourite 80’s love-oriented hits to enjoy today. Love or hate, these 80’s specialities are so wonderfully catchy and nostalgic one can’t help but sing or dance along even if the thought of Valentine’s Day is not exactly appealing.
