ODESZA’s “Falls (feat. Sasha Sloan)” has quickly become one of the fan favorites off the electronic duo’s GRAMMY-nominated latest album A Moment Apart and a staple of their live set, so today they have released a six–track remix EP (Foreign Family Collective / Counter Records) that finds the song reimagined by a slew of ODESZA’s contemporaries in vastly different ways.
The EP runs a gamut of electronic talent and variety including the ethereal tribal vibe of TroyBoi’s remix, TOKiMONSTA’s gorgeous piano-driven take, a skittering and artful deconstruction done by Photay, and the hard industrial pulse brought by The Glitch Mob. Also featuring two previously released remixes, including a “radiant” take by Kaskade that makes “minimal but impactful alterations to ODESZA’s evocative original” (Dancing Astronaut), and Golden Feature’s “dark turn” on the song which “keeps the high energy and mysticism” (Noise Porn) of the original intact, this EP not only allows the talents of each producer to shine, but also highlights the versatility of ODESZA’s songwriting.

The remix EP follows this week’s major announcement that the duo will bring their own three-day / night live music festival to Riviera Maya, Mexico on March 13-16. Called SUNDARA, the festival lineup will actually include several of the producers who contributed to the remix EP.
