Today we’re excited to present a stunning remix of XamVolo‘s ‘Down’ by MTRNICA, which takes the soulful original and brings an eclectic edge, bringing the resulting track to a much darker place. Keeping it simultaneously true to XamVolo’s style while making it entirely his own, MTRNICA draws on the emotional vulnerability of the song to make it hit hard, and even elements of the original, such as the gospel influenced choir, are used with stunning precision. The young producer manages to bring new life to the already brilliant piece, and the result is one for the books. On a personal level, I’ve had my ears locked on MTRNICA’s work for a couple of years, and I’ll be sure to keep an eye on XamVolo’s work as well.
